The precious time has finally come. In under 24 hours I will be jet-setting off on a 6 week adventure, travelling to many amazing parts of Europe, with Robbie by my side. I’m so excited I can’t even contain it. This trip has been in the making for what feels like a lifetime. So long that it all feels a bit surreal now that it is here. I’m no longer dreaming about it, simply counting down the hours until I arrive in the amazingly diverse Europe.
Six weeks may seem a long time for a ‘getaway’ to some, but in the scheme of things it is such a short period of time. So I’m making a commitment to myself to let go of all the stresses of day-to-day life at home, and immerse myself deep in the adventures that await.
This obviously comes with sad news for my lovely readers because I will be without my friendly little kitchen, and out of blogging action until July. All is not lost though, because when I return, I will be filled with inspiration from my travels that will form the basis for many wonderful treats that I can share with you. Plus, you can always follow me on Instagram for a Friendly Little Kitchen European food journey.
I know it’s going to be an amazing and challenging food journey for me – filled with times of deliciousness, but no doubt, times of tedious searching for friendly foods. We can only hope for more of the former! Lucky I’ve packed half a suitcase full of food and snacks, just in case.
